Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a comedian from Canada, actress, and writer. O'Hara is the proud winner of several distinctions, including the Genie Award. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her name as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Together with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd first began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic writing and acting skills and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were added to the Second City artistic board in 2022.
